Protect the policy data by preserving it within the source control repository.
The SiteMinder policy data should be checked into source control every time it changes. The addition to policies should be treated as code branches. This includes exporting all the objects as a manifest with all supporting objects. The collection of the manifest would allow the restoration of individual policy objects configuration and the version information would allow the enterprise to see how the policy data has changed overtime. This data would also facilitate the migration of policy information between environments.
